Introducing Sunday Dollars: My Way of Saying Thank You

I started Sunday Tan over seven years ago. Some of my very first clients still come see me regularly, and it's surreal to me that they still, 7 years later, are coming for Sunday Tans. I've always wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to the people who have supported Sunday Tan from the beginning, and that's exactly why I created Sunday Dollars.

Why I Created Sunday Dollars

Sunday Tan has always been about more than just spray tans. It's about making people feel confident, taken care of, and appreciated. As my client family grew, I kept thinking about how I could give back and provide additional value to so many of you have that have supported me over the years. A punch card didn't feel right (that's just one more thing to bring to your spray tan!). A complicated points system didn't feel like me, and points systems never make any sense when you try to figure out the conversion between points and dollars. I wanted something simple, generous, and fun. Something that genuinely gives back every single time you walk through my door. That's Sunday Dollars.

What Are Sunday Dollars?

Sunday Dollars are rewards you earn just by being a Sunday Tan client. Think of them like store credit that you build up automatically. Every time you get a tan, refer a friend, send me pics of your tan, or leave a Google review (even bad ones because any feedback is helpful 😊), Sunday Dollars get added to your account. Then you can use them toward things like waiving your booking deposit, getting face contouring for free, or saving on products and memberships. Every Sunday Dollar is a 1-to-1 conversion to actual value.

How to Earn

There are four easy ways to start stacking up your Sunday Dollars:

• Complete a spray tan: You'll earn $5 in Sunday Dollars every single time you come in for a tan. If you're a Sunday Club member getting tanned every two weeks, that adds up fast.
• Send me pics with your Sunday Tan: I love seeing my clients showing off their glow! Send me photos of your tan that I can reshare on Instagram and you'll earn $10 in Sunday Dollars.
• Refer a friend: Send a friend your unique referral code and they'll get $10 off their first booking or membership. When they complete their appointment, you earn $10 in Sunday Dollars. It's a win-win.
• Leave a Google review: Share your honest experience on Google and you'll earn $10 in Sunday Dollars as a thank-you. Reviews are so important for small businesses like mine, and I sincerely appreciate every single one.

How to Spend

Once you've built up a balance, here's where you can put your Sunday Dollars to work:

• Waive your booking deposit ($10): Skip the deposit when you book your next appointment.
• Face contouring add-on ($10): Get the face contouring upgrade completely covered by your Sunday Dollars.
• Product discounts: Apply any amount of your balance toward products in the Sunday Tan shop.
• Membership discount (increments of $10): Use Sunday Dollars toward your Sunday Club membership.

Let's Talk About the Value

The "glowing" part of Sunday Dollars? They reward you for things you're already doing. Getting your regular tan? That's $5 back every time. Already telling your friends about Sunday Tan? Now you both benefit from it. If you're a Sunday Club member coming in twice a month, you're earning $10 every single month just from your tans alone. That means every month you're earning enough to cover free face contouring! And of course, sending me pictures with your tan that I can share to Instagram gets you $10! It's my way of making sure that your support is valued.

How to Check Your Balance

Your Sunday Dollars balance, transaction history, and referral code are all tracked automatically in your account (thanks to my hubby!). Just log in on the website, head to your Account page, and you'll see everything right there. Or, make it even easier and download the Sunday Tan iOS app! Sunday Dollars are tracked right on the home screen. Tap into it for more details. You can track what you've earned, what you've spent, and your lifetime totals. When you're ready to spend your Sunday Dollars, just apply them during the booking or checkout process. It's all built in and seamless.
